51/49 BD

I've made these on and off since 2011. There are plenty of takes on this design which has been around since the 50's when Leedy was making kick pedal heads with two sides to them.

A few players in major orchestras use my design and over the years a few dozen people have asked me to make them after subbing there or studying with the principal percussionist.

The birch-lam shafts were bought from Rutland plywood in 2010. Unfortunately that factory burned to the ground a few years later and they did not rebuild. So, I have still have about 200 shafts and I've finally decided to make a bunch of the BD sticks.

They are wrapped with thick German felt on one side and a suede microfiber material on the other. They seem to last at least 5 years or more in normal usage. I have different colors of German and microfiber so please see the colors in photos and description. The grips are silicone.
